Artemis the Brave is the 4th book of the Goddess Girls series, and it is about Artemis meeting a new mortal actor named Orion, and he fooled her that he was immortal, because of a gold god spray called "godbod". But once Orion bails on her and the rest of Mount Olympus Academy just because she forgot his lines he arrogantly didn't study of, she meets a new mortal named Actaeon. She's sure that she has her heart in the right place.
Artemis is on the hunt, but she doesn't feel brave!
Artemis' friends and classmates see her as the most courageous goddessgirl at school. Little do they know that despite her expert archery skills, the smelly Geryon, ring-nosed Minotaurs, and scorpions in Beast-ology class scare her as much as they do to anyone else! But what's really bothering her now is that funny feeling she has whenever she looks at Orion. She's never had a crush before. Will she find courage to talk to Orion, to make her see her as more than a pal, and to ace Beast-ology class?
Artemis is the most tomboy goddessgirl at MOA, as she declares that she has never felt anything special for a boy in her entire life, because most of them consider her one of the guys. Though when she laid her eyes on Orion, the mortal actor that transferred to MOA, she never felt such a special feeling before. But he was merely a mortal that tried to use a special "GodBod" spray to trick her that he was an immortal. And when a MOA school play draws nearer, they need Orion's help to play a big role. Suddenly, he avoids this and transfers out of MOA. Artemis' heart gets shattered, meaning that no matter what, Orion is selfish. But, another mortal student named Actaeon decides to take the lead role, and Artemis reconsiders her choice on thinking that only her Goddess Girls and her friends are all she needs. Though Actaeon might be a better choice than Orion...
